Seneca – Douglas Rudolph “Poofy” Thrasher, 83, widower of the late Mildred Rebecca Crooks Thrasher, formerly of the Return Church Community, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Lila Doyle Nursing Care. A funeral service will be held 2 pm, Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Return Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm, Saturday, prior to the service at the church. The family is at the home of his daughter, Patsy Perry, 131 Charlie B Farm Road, Seneca, SC 29678. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his memory may be made to the Susan G Komen Foundation, 531 S Main Street, Suite ML-10, Greenville, SC 29601 or to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, 1841 Clifton Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30329.
